Archangel (1980)

He came to us attracted by the fading of our light.
Lest we contrive to suicide, took reason, voice, and sight.
Anon we watchers in the dark kept counsel in our heads-
He heard our wicked thoughts and saw us dying of our pain;
Thus we conspired to put our minds into our saviour's stead
And so create his doom: our Guardian has gone insane
From listening to the mutterings inside his charges' brains.
